EVERYTHING IS NONSENSE

EVERYTHING IS NONSENSE

“But at the end of the day, in the end, everything is really just nonsense."

A Paradoxical Approach to Fine Art

While painting under the pseudonym “Mr. Nonsense”, a nom-de-plume recommended to him at age 10 might seem counter-intuitive when it comes to fine art, I hope what you take from the various art stylings of his ‘structured’ and ‘unstructured’ nonsense are, in fact, the opposite of nonsense. The name, although random, was incredibly well assigned as it now accurately represents and expresses his observations on his art practice, an oxymoron where of course, everything isn’t nonsense, but full of very well-considered perceptions.

‘I hope my art is such that it makes you stop, think and think some more, go on a journey. But at the end of the day, in the end, everything is really just nonsense.'

Your first impressions of his bright and vibrant pieces may give the impression that they are only playful and fun, but behind lies a much deeper awareness and message in the work, which is steeped in symbolism and illusion.  If you are fortunate enough to talk art with the artist, you will discover his spark of passion and drive, his perfectionism and enthusiasm for what he creates.
